MEET EMILY

Born and raised in the South, Emily now lives in the Big Apple – New York City – and is 41. "Yes, really that is my age," she insists, and she pulls out her Driver’s License to prove it. She is ever conscious of the fact that some people think she looks like she's still in her 20's, while others are skeptical that she could be over forty, given all that she's accomplished.

Emily is well-educated and a practicing attorney. "Some people are intimidated by female attorneys," she acknowledges, "but not everyone – thankfully!"

Single, never married, Emily has been busy building her career. "I have been busy focusing on my career, and in my 20's and early 30's I didn't have a lot of free time." Now more established, she hopes to meet "Mr. Right."

"I'd like a family, of course," Emily said. "But the most important thing is to find someone who shares your values and wants the same things out of life that you do. That's not so easy to find."

Emily is high-energy. She's 5'7" tall. She'd like to meet someone 5'10" plus, who is kind, generous, "successful in his own right" and involved in things that are important to him ("hopefully something more than just sports"). "When each person has a full separate life, coming together as a couple is even more rich and fulfilling," she said. "Oh, and I'm Jewish, but he doesn't have to be, although, it certainly is would be easier if he is," she added, recognizing that religion often plays a part in the shared value system of a couple.

Emily enjoys creative writing and enjoys entrepreneurial activities, including real estate investing. She is involved in a number of charitable and professional organizations. She also shares her knowledge with others, giving lectures and teaching as an adjunct professor of law. "It's so rewarding to see the look on someone's face when they 'get it'. To be the catalyst for learning – well, it gives you an amazing feeling!"

MEET JERRY

Jerry is one of our Senior Singles, which is one of the fastest growing segments of the Singles Community on the web. In his early 70's, Jerry looks like he's 50. Some say he owes his ever-youthful appearance to the fact that he never married, but he likes to say "It’s all in the genes." Jerry certainly is handsome, and tall (over 6') to boot!

Jerry lives in Montgomery, Alabama. He has had an established service business for over 40 years there and is not looking to relocate, given his roots. Well-respected in his community, wherever he goes, lots of people know him. "I can't go out to eat without being stopped by at least someone I know to talk," he said, graciously acknowledging how important the Southern gift of gab is.

Jerry lives in a historic area of the City. "I like older houses," Jerry said. "They remind me of the house I grew up in. They have a lot of character."

Jerry would like to meet a financially independent woman, who is sweet and in good health, between the ages of 55-70, who likes dining out and cooking at home. "She must be a good cook," he offered. "I truly believe that the way to a man's heart – at least this man's heart – is through his stomach!"

When asked would he like to marry, Jerry said, "Yes. I didn’t get married when I was younger, and time passed. I wasn’t really watching a clock. Time does fly..."

Jerry is honest and caring. He would like to meet someone like-minded, who is open to the possibilities that a relationship can bring. Smiling he said, "You’re never too old to fall in love."
